MonotaRO's Sales Jump Nearly 10% in August; Shares Down 3%
E-commerce company MonotaRO (TYO:3064) reported a 9.7% year-over-year increase in sales for August to 21.07 billion yen, according to a Tuesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Monthly sales data showed a continued upward trend, with the company hitting year-on-year growth across the first eight months of 2024, data from the Japanese e-commerce company showed.
For August, the growth was driven by a substantial rise in customer acquisition, which totaled 102,100 new accounts, up from 94,100 in July.
Shares of the company fell nearly 3% in recent trade.
