Eli Lilly has promoted Lucas Montarce to the top finance post at the drugmaker.
Eli Lilly on Monday said Montarce, who joined the Indianapolis company in 2001, will now serve as executive vice president, chief financial officer and a member of its executive committee.
Montarce was most recently president and general manager for Lilly's Spain, Portugal and Greece hub.
Eli Lilly's previous chief financial officer, Anat Ashkenazi, left earlier this year to take the top finance job at Google parent Alphabet.
Gordon Brooks, a three-decade Lilly veteran who was serving as group vice president, controller and corporate strategy, stepped in as interim finance chief in July.
