South Korea-based zinc smelter Korea Zinc (KRX:010130) plans to acquire a 60% stake in robotics firm ROBOne for 15 billion won to boost its resource recycling business, Pulse News reported Tuesday.
The investment will support ROBOne's research and development and facility upgrades as it specializes in robotic and automation systems, the report said.
Shares of Korea Zinc rose more than 2% at market close on Wednesday.
