Market Chatter: High-Bandwidth Memory-Linked Stocks in South Korea Surge After Nvidia Rally
Stocks related to high-bandwidth memory (HBM) in South Korea soared Thursday morning following Nvidia's 8.15% overnight jump, Pulse News reported the same day.
Shares of SK Hynix (KRX:000660), a key HBM supplier to Nvidia, rose 6.11%, while equipment provider Hanmi Semiconductor (KRX:042700) gained 4.78% Thursday morning, it said.
Nvidia's surge followed after CEO Jensen Huang highlighted strong AI demand and promising returns on investment, the report said.
Shares of SK Hynix fell over 2% in recent trade on Friday while those of Hanmi Semiconductor declined 1%.
