Gift Holdings' Attributable Profit Jumps Over 22% in Fiscal Nine Months

Gift Holdings' (TYO:9279) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 22.6% to 1.39 billion yen in the fiscal nine months ended July 31, from 1.13 billion yen a year ago on significantly higher sales.

The company, which is mainly engaged in food business, said earnings per share (EPS) rose to 69.32 yen from 56.55 yen a year ago, according to a Thursday filing.

Net sales 23.8% to 20.6 billion yen from 16.6 billion yen a year earlier.

It forecasted attributable profit to grow 22.7% to 1.96 billion yen or 98.20 yen per share and net sales to gain 24% to 28.5 billion yen for the fiscal year ending Oct. 31.

The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 9 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
