NewtekOne Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent purchase by Barry Sloane is the biggest insider purchase of NewtekOne shares that we've seen in the last year. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, at around the current price, which is US$12.01. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. If someone buys shares at well below current prices, it's a good sign on balance, but keep in mind they may no longer see value. Happily, the NewtekOne insiders decided to buy shares at close to current prices.

Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 94.00k shares worth US$1.2m. On the other hand they divested 5.00 shares, for US$69.1. In total, NewtekOne insiders bought more than they sold over the last year. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. Insider Ownership

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Insiders own 6.1% of NewtekOne shares, worth about US$19m. We've certainly seen higher levels of insider ownership elsewhere, but these holdings are enough to suggest alignment between insiders and the other shareholders.

So What Does This Data Suggest About NewtekOne Insiders?

It's certainly positive to see the recent insider purchases. And the longer term insider transactions also give us confidence. When combined with notable insider ownership, these factors suggest NewtekOne insiders are well aligned, and that they may think the share price is too low.
