1132 ET - Micron Technology's reports strong pricing trends, with the average selling prices for its dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, chips up about 14% in 4Q, offsetting flattish bit shipments, Raymond James analysts say in a research note. Management is increasing its 2024 DRAM demand projection to the high-teens percentage range on strength from data center demand, the analysts say. Prices for Micron's NAND flash memory chips meanwhile were up about 7% while shipments increased in tandem, the analysts say. Micron expects both DRAM and NAND to see even higher demand as AI-enabled PCs and smartphones begin to flood the market, the analysts say. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
