Amazon.com Inc. $(AMZN)$ said Thursday its Prime Big Deal Days was its biggest October shopping event ever, as Prime members took advantage of early holiday deals with more items sold than during previous promotions. The online and cloud juggernaut said Prime members saved more than $1 billion by snapping up deals on everything from electronics to home, toys, beauty, and apparel, including discounts on products from Dyson, Mattel $(MAT)$, Levi's $(LEVI)$, and Apple $(AAPL)$. Shoppers also used new shopping features, including Rufus, a generative artificial intelligence-powered shopping assistant, and Inspire, an ain-app mobile experience to find deals in a personalized feed. The stock was up 1.2% premarket and has gained 21.9% in the year to date, while the S&P 500 has gained 21.4%.
