Hainan Airport Infrastructure's Passenger Throughput Slips 9% in September

Hainan Airport Infrastructure (SHA:600515) handled around 1.7 million passengers in September, slipping 9.3% from a year earlier, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.

The number of take-offs and landings fell 11.5% year on year to 11,817, while 8,275 tons of cargo and mail, 20.5% higher than the prior year, were managed in the same month.

The figures came from seven airports controlled by the Chinese airport company, including Sanya Phoenix International Airport. This airport handled 1.4 million passengers during the month, down 8.2% from the preceding year.

On a year-on-year basis, its number of takeoffs and landings fell 9.8% to 9,421 flights while cargo and mail jumped 33% to 6,420 tons.
