本周黄金依然在地缘局势以及美国大选不明朗的背景下继续上扬，再一次创出历史新高。
黄金历史上首次突破每盎司2,700美元后继续走高，对中东局势的担忧以及美国总统大选形势胶着促使交易员涌向避险资产。
周五黄金价格一度上涨1%达到每盎司2,720.17美元，突破了上一个交易日创下的历史高点。
看涨情绪也蔓延至其他贵金属，白银价格一度上涨5.5%，达到2012年以来最高价位。
在以色列表示已击毙哈马斯领导人辛瓦尔后，市场更加关注日益紧张的地缘政治局势。哈马斯证实辛瓦尔死亡并誓言会继续战斗。
此外虽然美国总统拜登表示已经是时候结束战争，但以色列总理内塔尼亚胡称将继续战斗，直到哈马斯去年劫持的所有人质都获释。
投资者在11月5日美国大选前调整仓位也支撑了金价。华侨银行外汇策略师Christopher Wong表示，尽管大选越来越近，但传统民调与去中心化押注显示出重大差异，鉴于选举形势变化莫测，地缘政治局势充满不确定性，特朗普对冲――做多黄金――可能仍会获得动力。
与此同时，美元指数下跌0.2%，结束了连续四天的上涨，也给金价带来支撑。
