智通财经APP获悉，由于对整体经济和劳动力市场的乐观情绪，美国10月消费者信心指数创下2021年3月以来的最大增幅。根据周二发布的数据，美国咨商会的信心指数上升9.5点，达到108.7，为年初以来的最高水平。而外媒对经济学家的调查中位数预期为99.5。
未来六个月的预期指数在10月升至89.1，为2021年12月以来最高。同时，当前状况指数上升了超过14点，是自2021年5月以来的最大月度增幅。
尽管如此，消费者信心指数仍远低于新冠疫情前的水平。美国咨商会首席经济学家Dana M. Peterson表示：“对当前就业机会的看法在经过几个月的低迷后有所回升，这可能反映出劳动力市场数据的改善。”
表示“工作机会充裕”的消费者比例上升了3.8个百分点，达到35.1%，为2021年5月以来的最大增幅。与此同时，认为“工作难找”的比例降至16.8%。这两者之间的差距(一个经济学家用来评估就业市场的关键指标)，自今年1月以来首次扩大。
此外，预计商业环境将改善的消费者比例上升至21%，为2022年2月以来最高。不过，对个人收入前景的评价与上月持平。较少消费者提及政治或即将到来的总统大选对他们10月的信心产生了影响，这一比例低于前两次总统选举前一个月的情况。
