1154 GMT - Hannover Rueck's internal executive succession is comforting, RBC Capital Markets says in a note. The German reinsurer announced that CEO Jean-Jacques Henchoz would be stepping down and current CFO Clemens Jungsthoefel would replace him on April 1. "We expect a continuity of the firm's existing strategy, one which we believe is well appreciated by the market and backed by one of the industry's leading [return on equity] track record," analysts Derald Goh and Mandeep Jagpal write. They welcome Jungsthoefel's appointment, as well as that of incoming CFO Christian Hermelingmeier, who joins from HDI Global. Shares slip 0.8% to 237.2 euros and are up 9.7% year to date.
