The Environmental Group (ASX:EGL) said Reclaim Waste's liquid waste facility secured draft approval from the Environmental Protection Agency to treat perfluoroalkyl and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) through the company's PFAS separation plant, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company's PFAS separation technology was developed with site support from partner Reclaim Waste, the filing said.
The company was also granted an Australian patent covering its processes and apparatus to reduce PFAS contamination in wastewater, soil, and biosolids, valid for 20 years, according to the filing.
The Environmental Group shares fell 11% in afternoon trade.
