格隆汇11月15日｜新日铁执行副总裁森孝弘(Takahiro Mori)将于下周在美国匹兹堡，与美国钢铁匹兹堡工厂工人所属分会的主管会面，尽力游说对方支持新日铁拟收购美国钢铁的计划，指收购行动对工人有益。联合钢铁工人本地2227分会副总裁Jason Zugai披露，接获森孝弘的电邮，对方希望下周与美国钢铁工人所属工会代表举行会议。除了他本人之外，森孝弘还邀请Edgar Thomson工厂、Clairton工厂及Irvin工厂工人所属分会主管，以及联合钢铁工人工会国际部总裁David McCall出席会议。Zugai表明，新日铁如果能同意延长美国钢铁与工人达成、为期4年的薪酬协议，包括维持加薪幅度不变，则他会支持这宗收购。报道引述消息人士称，森孝弘今次也会到纽约及美国首都华盛顿，相信与寻求各方支持收购有关。
