Nexgen Energy (ASX:NXG) found a discovery at the Rook I project during its 2024 drilling campaign at Patterson Corridor East in Canada covering over 34,000 meters across 46 drill holes, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The high-grade portion with upgraded intensity of mineralization appeared in hole RK-24-222, a 17-meter-wide vein with multiple occurrences of off-scale mineralization, the filing said.
Assay results are expected between the fourth quarter of the year and the first quarter of 2025, with exploration to resume in January 2025, according to the filing.
Nexgen Energy shares rose more than 6% in midday trade Wednesday.
