Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) plans to hire 200 more small business and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) bankers in Australia by the end of 2027 to support high-growth industries and geographies, the financial services firm said in a statement Tuesday.
The company currently employs over 500 small business and SME bankers, said Anthony Mathews, national general manager for SME and small business.
Shares fell almost 1% in afternoon trade Wednesday in New Zealand.
