政府统计处昨日(21日)公布，今年10月整体消费物价与一年前同月比较，上升1.4%，较今年9月份的相应升幅(2.2%)为低，亦低于市场预期升1.7%。
大新金融集团首席经济及策略师温嘉炜解释，10月通胀进一步放缓，或受到内地食品价格持续温和所影响，拖慢整体食品价格升幅。至于住屋租金升幅显著放缓，主要由于宽减差饷及宽免公共房屋额外租金，所带来的低基数效应在10月份已消失所致。基本通胀今年以来都维持在1%附近，反映通胀压力持续温和。
温嘉炜认为，政府宽免差饷等措施结束的影响在第四季会消失，而公屋加租10%的影响亦因10月起的三个月获得宽免加幅而延后至2025年初，整体通胀率进入第四季预料会维持在1.5%以下，该行估计2024年全年通胀升幅约1.7%。(js/k)
