DigiPlus (PSE:PLUS) said its Brazilian unit, DigiPlus Brazil Interactive, has successfully passed the qualification stage for a federal license with Brazil's Ministry of Finance's Secretariat of Awards and Bets (SPA).
The company is now closer to launching its operations in Brazil's regulated iGaming market, including online sports betting, according to a filing with the Philippine bourse.
DigiPlus Brazil Interactive now has 30 days to fulfill post-qualification regulatory requirements, such as platform certification and license fee payments.
Upon meeting the requirements, the final list of licensed operators will be released, with operations slated to begin in January 2025, the filing noted.
