沃尔玛正在终止部分多元化项目，成为最新一家在保守派活动人士施压下改变策略的大公司。这家零售商将逐步关闭非营利组织Center for Racial Equity，沃尔玛在2020年承诺五年内出资1亿美元资助该组织。沃尔玛还将叫停其他一些为女性、少数族裔、退伍军人或LGBTQ群体成员持股51%的供应商提供援助的项目。一位发言人表示，沃尔玛此外将不再允许第三方卖家在Walmart.com上销售某些LGBTQ主题商品，包括针对跨性别儿童的商品，如束胸衣和一些书籍。沃尔玛还表示，将继续在公司文件中逐步停用“多元化、公平与包容”（或称DEI）的措辞。
