格隆汇11月28日｜英国工业联合会(CBI)的调查显示，英国服务业的信心以两年来最快的速度下滑，部分原因是财政大臣里夫斯10月底公布的预算增加了税收。其中，消费服务业的下降最为严重，250亿英镑的工资税上调严重影响了大型雇主。数据显示，11月消费者服务业信心指数从8月的-19大幅降至-55，商业和专业服务业信心指数从+9降至-29。CBI副首席经济学家Alpesh Paleja将乐观情绪下降、招聘意愿减弱和成本压力上升归因于即将到来的雇主国民保险缴款的增加。商业和专业服务企业的盈利能力降至2020年8月以来的最低水平，投资意愿全面下降。与国际同行相比，较低的商业投资已成为英国生产率较弱的一个因素，现在它又恶化了。CBI的调查结果与其他指标一致，这些数据突显了英国日益严峻的经济挑战。
