Snack Empire Holdings (HKG:1843) recorded a profit attributable to owners of the parent of SG$207,000 for the six months ended Sept. 30, lower than SG$445,000 logged for the corresponding period last year, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.
Earnings per share attributable to equity holders stood at SG$0.0008 for the reporting period, compared with SG$0.0004 recorded for the year-ago period.
The food and beverage company's revenue for the six months under review was SG$14.5 million, 17.3% higher than SG$12.4 million booked a year ago.
The company attributed the increase in revenue to an increase in retail and delivery sales in Singapore and Malaysia.
The company's shares surged nearly 6% on Friday's close.
