Affluent Partners' (HKG:1466) attributable loss widened to HK$6.2 million in the six months ended Sept. 30 from HK$2.3 million a year ago, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
The jewelry products company's loss per share widened to HK$0.0092 from HK$0.0036 in the previous year.
The bigger loss is mainly due to higher provision for impairment loss on inventories of pearls and fine jewelry and the increase in administrative expenses from a newly acquired business.
Revenue surged to HK$70.9 million from HK$25.1 million a year earlier.
