0816 GMT - Allianz's plan for the 2024 to 2027 period is a reassuring baseline for investors, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods says after the German insurer outlined its mid-term targets. The targets seem to confirm expectations taken from a Visible Alpha poll, analyst William Hawkins writes in a research note. "We think Allianz's plan has the potential to make its shares the default own for investors who seek well riskmanaged exposure to the opportunities brought by a world of slightly higher inflation and yields," he notes. The analyst expects discussion to focus on the upside for earnings metrics and hopes for more commentary on the group's remittance and capital management. Shares open 1.4% lower.
