海通证券指出，国内水泥需求下滑，中资水泥企业凭借强大技术能力和经验出海探寻新蓝海市场正当时。随着非洲人口数量的不断增长以及城镇化率的不断提升，基础设施建设有望持续加码，非洲水泥市场具有十分广阔的需求增长空间。该行认为，非洲需求有增长、水泥工业相对落后，正是中资水泥企业寻求的基建新蓝海。
据悉，西部水泥坐拥莫桑比克、刚果民主共和国和埃塞俄比亚三大核心非洲市场。2024年5月，西部水泥乌兹别克斯坦日产6000吨熟料产线点火；2024年9月，西部水泥埃塞俄比亚莱米万吨线投产。长江证券此前指出，上半年水泥行业全行业经营承压，就西部水泥而言，国内承压，海外有增量，整体业绩小幅下降。该行指出，公司产能布局逐步完善，海外是核心增量。
