智通财经APP讯，WANG ON GROUP(01222)发布公告，于2024年12月16日，营运商(公司的间接全资附属公司)(作为租户)向业主提交退租协议，当中营运商将放弃租赁协议中与该街市租赁有关的余下年期，而业主将同意退租，并解除营运商于租赁协议的责任，自2024年12月16日起生效，营运商须向业主支付代价540万港元。
公告称，该街市的表现一直未能达致财务预期，导致经营成本不可持续且租金高昂。终止租赁协议将消除与该街市相关的持续租金及维护开支，从而改善现金流并增强集团整体财务稳健程度。该决定亦将使集团能重新分配资源，专注于更有利可图的机会。
