TEMPO.CO, Bandung - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that on D-1 before Christmas Day, there were 15,829 passengers arriving and 15,854 passengers departing from all areas of PT KAI Operation Area 2 Bandung, Indonesia.
The total number of train passengers during the 2024/2024 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) Transportation period on 19-24 December 2024 reached 100,680 arriving passengers and 103,476 departing passengers in the PT KAI Operation Area 2 Bandung area.
Executive Vice President of PT KAI Regional Operations 2 Bandung Dicky Eka Priandana said that he has prepared 12 Customer Service Mobile (CMS) officers at Bandung Station, Kiaracondong Station, and Cimahi Station during the 2024/2024 Nataru transportation period which will run from December 19, 2024 to January 5, 2025.
"We are committed to ensuring that customers' journeys are smooth and comfortable, especially during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The presence of Customer Service Mobile officers is expected to provide direct and fast service in areas that require more attention," said Dicky, quoted from a written statement, Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
The CMS officers are tasked with assisting train passengers who need information, providing assistance, or providing quick solutions related to train travel. CMS officer service at Bandung Station starts at 06:00 WIB to 21:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), at Kiaracondong Station from 06:00-22:00 WIB, and Cimahi Station from 07:00-21:00 WIB.
Dicky appealed to train passengers to arrive at the train station at least one hour before the departure schedule and bring tickets and the required travel documents. Train service users are also advised to use the Access by KAI application to obtain related information, schedules, tickets, and other facilities.
"Christmas and New Year holidays are safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable with trains. Book tickets now, every ticket saves the earth from carbon emissions, Let's Ride the Train," said Dicky.
