Financial stocks were lower pre-bell Monday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) recently falling by 1.1%.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 3.1% lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was up 3.4%.
Garden Stage (GSIW) shares were down 1% after saying it received notice from the Nasdaq Stock Market that it is not compliant with the exchange's $1 minimum bid price requirement.
UBS Group (UBS) Chief Executive Sergio Ermotti said Switzerland should not set rules for its banking industry that would put the lender at a disadvantage, Reuters reported. UBS shares were down 0.6%.
Primerica (PRI) said its household budget index for November showed that the average purchasing power for middle-income families in the US was 103.6%, up 2.8% from a year ago. Primerica shares fell 0.6%.
