TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta is preparing to welcome New Year's Eve 2025 with various spectacular events centered at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout. As one of the strategic locations in the heart of the capital, the HI Roundabout has long been the center of community activities, including New Year's Eve celebrations. This year, the event titled "Kirana Jakarta 2025: Jakarta, a Global City with a Million Charms" will combine the splendor of the city with the beauty of Indonesian culture.

The HI Roundabout is transformed into a giant stage with various attractions, such as a drone light show involving 800 drones and 3D projection mapping. This attraction will create a stunning visual experience. In addition, visitors can enjoy fireworks displays, water mist shows, and Jakarnaval, which showcases the diversity of Indonesian culture.

Preparations to Welcome New Year's Eve

A number of entertainment stages have begun to be built in the HI Roundabout area. A total of 12 entertainment stages are spread across several strategic points, including in front of Plaza Indonesia, Sarinah, and other locations, such as the Panin Bank building, SCBD, and the Lapangan Banteng area. These stages will feature various art and music performances throughout New Year's Eve.

The preparations have been visible for the past few days. The iron frame for the LED screen has been installed, while residents have begun to crowd the area to enjoy the atmosphere or take pictures with the Welcome statue as a backdrop.

Car Free Night on Jalan Sudirman-Harmoni

To support the smooth running of the event, the government will implement a Car Free Night (CFN) policy along Jalan Sudirman-Harmoni. The road closure will start at 18:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time) on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, until 01:00 WIB on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Senior Commissioner Latif Usman from the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya said that traffic arrangements and the distribution of entertainment stages have been carefully designed to provide the best experience for the public.

Parking Pockets for Visitors

The Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared various parking pockets for visitors who come to enjoy New Year's Eve at the HI Roundabout. Parking locations provided include:

- IRTI Monas Parking- BNI 46 Building- Grand Indonesia Building- Plaza Indonesia- Wisma Mandiri- Sarinah Building, and many others.

This step aims to make it easier for visitors to access the event location without disrupting traffic flow. As a result of the road closure, a number of traffic engineering will be implemented. For example, the flow from Jalan Hayam Wuruk to Jalan Majapahit is diverted to Jalan Juanda, while the flow from Jalan MH Thamrin to HI Roundabout is diverted to Jalan Agus Salim. This engineering is carried out to ensure smooth movement around the event area.

This year's New Year's Eve event at HI Roundabout is expected to be an unforgettable moment for Jakarta residents and tourists. With various attractions and entertainment that have been prepared, New Year's Eve in the capital is guaranteed to be lively, combining metropolitan splendor with the charm of local culture.
