FRP Holdings President deVilliers Resigns; Son Named as Successor

FRP Holdings President David deVilliers Jr. resigned from his position and his son will succeed him, the company said Friday.

The elder deVilliers's son, David deVilliers III, was appointed by the board as the new president of the Jacksonville, Fla., real-estate company. The younger deVilliers, 46 years old, joined the company in 2001 as vice president. He served as executive vice president from 2019 to May 2024, when he was appointed as chief operating officer.

The elder deVilliers will continue to serve as adviser to the president and operating chief, as well as vice chairman of the board of directors. As president and chief operating officer in 2023, he made a total compensation of $1.2 million.

As executive vice president in 2023, the younger deVilliers made $1.2 million.
