Western Carriers Bags INR1.4 Billion Order From Vedanta; Shares Up 7%

Western Carriers (India) (NSE:WCIL, BOM:544258) has secured a work order worth 1.39 billion Indian rupees from Vedanta (NSE:VEDL, BOM:500295).

The project is for the import, FG domestic, and export material handling contract at the JSG plant over a four-year period, according to a Friday filing to the stock exchanges.

Shares of the company were up 7% in recent trade.
