在2024年1月份阿拉斯加航空公司的一架波音737 Max飞机在飞行过程中发生应急仓门掉落事故一周年之际，美国最高航空监管机构表示，该公司需要“根本性的文化转变”，将安全和质量置于利润之上。
美国联邦航空管理局（FAA）局长迈克·惠特克（Mike Whitaker）周五在网络上发帖表示，该机构在监督波音方面还有更多工作要做。
惠特克将在两周后卸任，让当选总统特朗普选择自己的美国联邦航空局局长。
惠特克回顾了去年1月份决定停飞所有带有类似应急仓门（称为门塞）的737 Max飞机的决定。后来，FAA在波音工厂部署了更多检查员，限制了新737的生产，并要求波音提出解决制造问题的计划。
惠特克说：“波音正在努力在安全、质量改进以及有效的员工参与和培训领域执行其综合计划。但这不是一个为期一年的短期项目。波音需要的是一场根本性的文化转变，以安全和质量为导向，将其置于利润之上。这将需要波音公司的持续努力和承诺，以及我们坚定不移的审查。”
