First Pacific's (HKG:0142) unit PacificLight Power has been awarded the right to build, own, and operate a hydrogen-ready combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) facility on Jurong Island, Singapore, by the Energy Market Authority, a Monday bourse filing said.
The plant, scheduled to begin operation in January 2029, will be the largest single H-class CCGT plant in the country with a capacity of at least 600 megawatts.
The new plant will also include a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System.
