NAIROBI, Jan 7 (Reuters) - The United States will impose sanctions on Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, the leader of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, which has been locked in a devastating war with the Sudanese army for control of the country, two diplomatic sources said on Tuesday.
The United States determined that the RSF perpetrated genocide during the war, the sources said, having previously determined it perpetrated ethnic cleansing in West Darfur in 2023.
