Delta Air Lines (DAL) cancelled about 500 flights for Friday as it manages disruptions to its operation amid what it described as "worse-than-expected winter weather."
"Inclement weather began earlier and with heavier intensity than forecast, which reduced deicing capability and slowed operations," the airline said Friday.
Elsewhere, on Friday morning, the crew of Delta Air Lines Flight 2668 aborted takeoff at the Atlanta airport due to a reported engine issue.
