Communications services companies rose as traders rotated back into high-risk sectors.

The SPDR Select Sector Communications Services exchange-traded fund, which tracks the communications services industry group of the S&P 500, rose by 1.6% and is now more or less flat for 2025, within 4% of all-time highs.

The game of chicken over the fate of the TikTok service continued on Wednesday with a report the Chinese-owned social media platform will shut down entirely on Sunday without a Supreme Court reprieve.

The rapper Drake sued Universal Music Group for defamation, arguing the label profited from Kendrick Lamar's diss track "Not Like Us," in which Lamar calls Drake a pedophile.
