BlueLinx said Andrew Wamser would resign from his role as chief financial officer and treasurer of the wholesale distributor of building products, effective Jan. 24.

As the Atlanta company searches for Wamser's successor, Kimberly DeBrock will serve as interim principal financial officer, starting the following day. DeBrock is currently the company's chief accounting officer.

BlueLinx said Wamser's resignation wasn't due to any disagreement with the company, nor because of any matter relating to the company's financial reporting, according to a Monday regulatory filing.

"Andy's contributions have been numerous, and he leaves at a time when the Company is in a very strong financial position," Chief Executive Shyam Reddy said.

Wamser became financial chief of BlueLinx in August 2023 and received $2.2 million in compensation for the fiscal year.
