Argent Minerals Identifies High-Grade Gold at New South Wales Gold Project

Argent Minerals (ASX:ARD) said rock chip sampling returned high-grade gold assays of up to 63.1 grams per tonne of gold at its Trunkey Creek gold project in New South Wales, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company said 160 rock chip samples were collected during the reconnaissance over the project.

A reinterpretation of induced polarization surveying over the project has clearly defined zones with potential quartz/silica veins and zones with potential sulfides, which have a high potential for hosting gold mineralization.

These zones will be systematically tested by drilling, Pedro Kastellorizos, the firm's managing director said.

Six high-priority induced polarization targets, with a correlation to historical workings, have been selected for drill testing, the filing added.
