1026 GMT - Danone's performance for the second half of 2024 is expected to be boosted by China, Barclays analysts say in a note. Despite lower pricing, higher commodity prices and material inflation, the French food company delivered 10% volume growth in China/North Asia in 3Q. Danone should benefit from significant operational gearing in the region given early signs of stabilization of its Chinese infant formula category, they say, noting that the segment's margins are more than double the group's average. Profit margins and free cash flow for 2024 are expected to beat market estimates, they add. "Danone is on the right side of the health debate and we think 2025 will be a standout year with upgrades a possibility," they add. Shares are up 0.5% at 64 euros. (michael.susin@wsj.com)
