HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (KRX:329180) launched its joint project with SIMA Peru to build four warships for the Peruvian Navy, the South Korean shipbuilder said Saturday.
The four vessels comprise a frigate, an offshore patrol vessel, and an amphibious landing ship.
The construction is part of the Peru Warship project, a 640.6 billion won defense export contract awarded to HD Hyundai Heavy in April 2024, HD Hyundai Heavy said.
Shares of the shipbuilder fell more than 3% in recent trade on Monday.
