Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) reported a daily on-market buyback of its ordinary fully paid securities, with 643,548 shares repurchased Monday for around AU$21 million in total, according to a same-day filing with the Australian bourse.
The banking and financial services company does not intend to buy back a maximum number of securities, per the filing.
Its shares fell 3% in recent trade.
