AKORA Resources (ASX:AKO) said that its Bekisopa iron ore project in Madagascar will benefit from significant infrastructure developments that support its commercialization, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company is currently completing a pre-feasibility study for the project expected to be released in March, the filing said.
Developments include the construction of a new by-pass road, which will directly link the country's Toliara Port to the RN7 National Highway with completion expected by the middle of the year, the filing added.
AKORA plans to export its iron ore products through the Port, per the filing.
Additionally, the RN7 will undergo upgrades within the year, improving access for transporting iron ore from the Bekisopa site to the port, the mining firm said in the filing.
