Practically everybody makes the occasional spelling mistake. Coors' typo just so happened to be publicly displayed across the U.S. and Canada.
Beer giant Molson Coors Beverage Co. (TAP), known for cases of beer, suffered what it called a "Case of the Mondays" after launching an ad campaign leading up to the "Big Game"—cough, Super Bowl, cough—that contained an unfortunate error.
"This morning, we released a series of ads leading up to the Big Game intended to make Coors Light look even colder, and we’re aware they included a bit of a blunder," the brewer said. "In the ads released across Canada and the U.S., there was an unfortunate misspelling of 'Mountain Cold Refreshment' as 'Mountain Cold Refershment.'
"Coors Light wants to thank everyone for letting us know about the errors," it added.
Molson Coors shares dodged a "Silver Bullet" Monday, rising about 2.5% in recent trading. They have declined about 15% over the past year.
