2025年世界经济论坛年会将于1月20—24日在瑞士举行，年会召集世界各地、各行业的近3000名领袖，探讨“智能时代的合作”这一主题。

万事达卡董事长Merit Janow表示，东盟是一个充满活力、经济增长迅速的地区，技术前沿且年轻化，在全球经济和区域经济中都有重要地位，也是美国出口的重要市场。自20世纪60年代以来，东盟一直强调开放的区域主义和经济合作。东盟在市场贸易和投资一体化方面不断尝试并推动发展。东盟目前正在进行的数字经济框架协议谈判尤其令人印象深刻，如果协议达成，这将是首个区域数字经济框架，对区域和全球经济增长都具有重要意义。
