大众汽车公司首席财务官Arno Antlitz周四在瑞士达沃斯世界经济论坛（WEF）期间表示，大众汽车将需要在美国进行额外投资，以实现其在该国市场份额翻倍的目标。
当被问及该公司是否有计划扩建其位于田纳西州查塔努加的美国工厂时，Antlitz说：“我们需要更多的举措．．．．．．才能使市场份额翻倍。你必须更加本地化。”
他表示：“我们在欧洲很强大，但我们需要在美国做更多的‘增值’工作。但我们得先决定这个项目。”
他将研发列为潜在的投资领域，但拒绝透露更多细节。
