Atlas Energy Solutions (AESI) has delivered 100 loads of proppant loads using two driverless semi-trucks equipped with Kodiak Robotics' self-driving technology, the companies said Friday.
Atlas can now handle driverless deliveries across the 75,000-square-mile Permian Basin, which spans parts of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, according to the companies.
Atlas plans to increase its RoboTruck fleet "considerably" throughout 2025, while Kodiak Robotics has opened an office in Odessa, Texas, to support Atlas' operations, the companies added.
