美国运通公司的客户主要是富裕消费者,因此,与一些同行相比,该公司能够更好地应对经济不确定性,因为高收入个人对通货膨胀和借贷成本上升不太敏感。
在第四财季,衡量美国运通卡开支的账单业务比去年同比增长8%,增至4084亿美元。
在截至12月31日的三个月中,该公司的利润从一年前的19.3亿美元上升至21.7亿美元,每股收益从2.62美元上升至每股3.04美元。
