SpiceJet (BOM:500285) said it will re-induct its first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft into operations, effective Jan. 29, as part of its fleet restoration plan, according to a release filed with the BSE.
The airline has partnered with StandardAero and CFM International for engine maintenance and repair to bring 10 grounded aircraft, including four 737 MAX jetliners, back into service by mid-April, SpiceJet said in the release.
The MAX aircraft will enable SpiceJet to operate on high-demand routes like Saudi Arabia's Jeddah and Riyadh, the airline noted, it said.
