Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (NSE:TMB, BOM:543596) recorded a rise in its net profit to 3.00 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2024 against 2.84 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share stood at 18.96 rupees compared with the year-ago figure of 17.95 rupees, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian bourses.
Interest earned by the lender also increased to 13.31 billion rupees from 12.29 billion rupees a year earlier.
Shares of the bank were down nearly 2% in recent trade.
