Euroseas Gets 3-Year Time Charter Contracts for 2 Containerships

Euroseas (ESEA) said late Monday it entered into three-year time charter contracts for two of its 4,253 twenty-foot equivalent unit intermediate containerships, M/V Synergy Antwerp and M/V Synergy Keelung.

The charters have a gross daily rate of $35,500 with a minimum period of 36 months and a maximum period of 39 months at the option of the charterer, the company said.

M/V Synergy Antwerp's new charter is expected to start sometime in May, while M/V Synergy Keelung's new charter is set to begin sometime in June, Euroseas.

The company expects the contracts to contribute roughly $57 million in EBITDA over the minimum contracted period.
