Maintenance work at FutureFuel's biodiesel plant is taking longer than expected.

The Clayton, Mo., company, which manufactures chemicals and biofuels, said Friday that annual maintenance work at the plant will continue through next month, and that biodiesel production won't start back up until the work is complete.

The company began its regularly-scheduled maintenance at the end of last year, and the work has proven more extensive than anticipated, it said.
